MAFF is hosting the regional stop of the Operation KidSafe National Safety Tour!

FREE digital fingerprint and photo safety program.  Specialized digital imagery equipment will only be here in Santa Barbara for two days!

It is a fact that over 3,000 children are reported missing each and every day in the United States. Most are found within minutes or hours and have happy endings. Police officials say that time is critical in the recovery of missing children. One major problem that costs precious time is the gathering of current photographs, fingerprints and statistical information to assist law enforcement agencies.  While most children are quickly reunited, there is always the fear of the worst and that is what we must prepare for. Parents will go to any reasonable length to protect their children and that’s what we would like to offer.

How it Works:  Operation KidSafe captures your child’s picture and fingerprints using a digital video capture device, digital ink-less fingerprint capture device and specialized software. The captured data is assembled and a quality 8 1/2 x 11” printout is provided to the parent. With this printout, the parent can provide it to law enforcement anywhere in the world to instantly aid in an investigation.

NOTE: No database or records of children are maintained.  The only record of the visit will go home with the parent for safekeeping.
